BRANDS HIDING BEHIND SLOW FASHION: FAST PRODUCTION & EXPRESS DELIVERY IS QUITE POSSIBLE

There is another problem we gotta question about brands who are an advocate of Sustainability and Slow Fashion.

Slow fashion movement is gaining momentum since conscious consumerism taken off but what exactly is Slow Fashion ? It’s is a movement in fashion industry has been taking shape since designer Kate Fletcher coined the term in 2008 and simply is about creating, and buying garments for quality and longevity made in slower production times in sustainably.

Hundreds of topics can be discussed under the topic of slow fashion but in this post we want to focus the brands who are hiding behind this movement for their lacks. Some designer brands claim that their production -when you order an item- takes weeks to make and ship it because they advocate sloooow fashion.

Excuse us but these brands are not creating designs that requires embellishing a whole dress by hand with thousands of beads like Minzkou does! They simply make pants and plain blouse… and a plain T-shirt… and a plain shirt… and a plain short… just PLAIN. If you’re not a manufacturer or designer who know how clothes are made, let us tell you that making or stocking simple clothes like this don’t take days, weeks or a month.

And they are not implementing slow fashion practices, they are just being… SLOW.
